I received an email a few days ago saying that my favourite bead shop The Bead Hold is closing on Sunday 17 November.  :-(  After 9 and a half years Nia is closing the Pt Chev shop and going completely online.  She has had the online shop for a while.  She moved to Taranaki when she got married a few years ago and now has two young boys to look after and with rent going up and the building up for sale anyway, she decided having a physical shop is too difficult.

Our bead club will get two more classes before the shop closes and then we think we'll continue meeting monthly anyway, where, we don't know yet.

I will miss being able to go into the shop but hopefully Nia will still have a great selection online.
